There’s more to breathing than inhaling and exhaling air. Each breath we take contributes to the regulation of our entire nervous system, including our mood and energy, hormone and cell production, digestion and metabolism, movement and more. 

Through conscious breathing practices, we can reduce stress, calm the mind, balance emotions and connect with our true nature. Harnessing the breath can be a powerful tool for promoting overall physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. 

Breath is directly linked to our ‘life force energy’ 

Different cultures use various words for the concept of life force energy – ki (Japanese) Qi (Chinese), Prana (Indian), Mana (Maori/Polynesian), Pneuma (Greek), and Ruah (Hebrew), among others. 

These terms all refer to a universal vital force or energy that flows through and sustains life, although their philosophical and practical interpretations differ across cultures. 

 

Nancie will instruct you in, and lead you through, some easy, yet powerful, breathing techniques that you can take home and use in everyday life.
